At approximately 2:45 PM on June 12th 2019, Titusville Police responded to a report of an armed robbery in the parking area of the Sunoco gas station located at 6058 Sisson Road.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect approached the victim, displayed a firearm and demanded the victim’s cell phone. The suspect fled the scene in a black Nissan Cube with the victim’s property. The victim was not injured.
Within thirty minutes of the initial incident, the suspect was located by officers and arrested without incident at a residence located at 5883 Dexter Court in Titusville.
After questioning by detectives, Holmes was linked to a separate crime of occupied burglary and grand theft, which occurred on June 8th 2019, and subsequently charged with the additional crimes.
Loren Taylor Powell, 25, of Titusville, was arrested by police on June 12th 2019 and charged with Armed Robbery, Aggravated Assault with a Firearm, Armed Occupied Burglary and two counts of Grand Theft.
Powell is being held at the Brevard County Jail without bond.
