Titusville Police have arrested a teenager in connection with a citywide crime spree of local businesses and a home.
The teenager, aged 15, of Titusville, was arrested on June 27th 2019 and charged with Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle, 2 counts of Grand Theft, 3 counts of Burglary and 3 counts of Criminal Mischief.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect burglarized and vandalized Pat Fisher Nissan, located at 1128 South Hopkins Avenue on March 24, 2019. On April 22nd 2019, the suspect stole a blue Honda Odyssey Van from the parking area of Cumberland Farms convenience store, located at 10 North Hopkins Avenue.
On April 23rd 2019, the stolen van was located by police in the garage of a vacant home, located at 3544 Canon Court, which had been vandalized by the suspect and was being used as a place to hide stolen property. In addition, the suspect burglarized and vandalized Snider's Auto Center, located at 990 South Washington Avenue on May 3rd 2019.
Detective’s investigative interviews and the crime scene evidence determined that the suspect was responsible for the crimes.
The teenager was delivered to the Department of Juvenile Justice’s Juvenile Detention Center.
