An alert neighbor’s quick actions aided Titusville Police in the arrest of a burglary suspect.
Officers responded to a report of an occupied residential burglary at approximately 1:20 PM on Thursday, September 13th 2018 on the 2500 block of White Oak Lane, which quickly led to the arrest of a local man.
The preliminary investigation has revealed that a neighbor of the victim observed a man entering an open garage and taking property.
The neighbor immediately informed the victim who then called police. Within less than one hour, investigative details led police to quickly locate and arrest the suspect, who was found with the victim’s property at his home.
Jordan Alexander Yount, 19, of Titusville was arrested without incident and charged with Occupied Residential Burglary and Theft
Yount was booked into the Brevard County Jail.
“This is yet another example of one of our citizens helping us apprehend a criminal", said Titusville Police Deputy Chief Todd Hutchinson.
